Interface note: Button names vary slightly between systems and clients. “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Remote Configuration” usually refer to the same type of entry point. If the page does not use the exact wording in this guide, look for “Import,” “Add Subscription,” or “Update Configuration.”
ACCOUNT
Step 1: Create an account
First, open the NHVPN user panel. Select “Start Free” below to open the account creation form. Enter a username you plan to use long term, then set a password that is not shared with other websites. NHVPN does not require an email address; your username and password are used to sign in, view orders, and retrieve your subscription.
Before submitting, check that the username is easy to recognize and confirm that both password entries match. After the account is created, the page will open the account overview. If the browser remains on the entry page, select “Log in” at the top and enter the username and password you just set. Do not create multiple accounts in succession. Orders, data, and subscription details are tied to the account used to place the order, so switching between accounts can make a purchased plan difficult to find.
Once the overview opens, first confirm that the account status and plan entry are displayed correctly. It is normal for no subscription to be shown yet; the next step is to choose a plan. Store your login credentials in a trusted password manager. When you move to another device, simply sign in to the same account instead of creating another one.
PLAN
Step 2: Choose a plan and place your order
After preparing the account, open the plans page. Choose based on how you use the service rather than looking only at the one-time price. Monthly subscriptions with data that resets each month suit frequent international browsing, AI Tools, or regular Streaming. If your usage is irregular and you prefer to pay for data as you use it, consider a data package that lasts until depleted and never expires.
Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB; data resets monthly on the activation date. If you upgrade partway through a cycle, the price difference is prorated by the remaining days. Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB; they last until depleted and never expire. Before choosing, consider your main activities: text and web pages generally use less data, while long video sessions and large file transfers consume it faster.
After choosing a plan, review the order in the user panel, then pay with Alipay, WeChat, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the account overview and check whether the plan status has updated. If the old status remains, refresh the overview and check the order history instead of submitting the same order again. NHVPN offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund; see the refund policy for the applicable scope and process.
Once this step is complete, the account has an active plan. Do not assemble a subscription address yourself or look for configuration details in chat history or other sources. A valid subscription should be retrieved from the current account's user panel.
SUBSCRIPTION
Step 3: Retrieve the subscription from the panel
Open the account overview in the user panel and find the subscription section. Once the plan is active, an entry for importing it into a client will appear here. When selecting Copy, copy the complete content. If you select the text manually, check carefully that the beginning, end, and parameters are all present. A subscription link is part of your account configuration and should not be posted publicly or forwarded to unrelated people.
The example below shows formatting only. It is not a real NHVPN subscription and cannot be used to connect. The placeholder value illustrates that clients usually receive one complete link:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
Keep the user panel open temporarily after copying, then switch to the client for import. If the client says it cannot recognize the subscription format, return to the overview and copy it again instead of manually deleting or editing characters. Automatic wrapping in the browser affects only the display; it does not mean the link contains line breaks. After pasting it into the client, it should remain one continuous address.
When using a new device later, retrieve the subscription from the overview page of the same account. If the client already has routes but has not updated for a long time, return here to confirm the plan status, then update it in the client. For a detailed explanation of subscription updates, route types, and configuration principles, read The Complete Guide to Getting Started. This page covers only the steps needed for your first connection.
CLIENTS
Step 4: Import by platform
The client and subscription are separate components: the client stores configuration and starts connections, while the subscription provides selectable routes. Use the client download entry in the user panel to get the NHVPN client for your system or the import method recommended there. This guide does not provide static installer links and does not require downloads from unknown sources.
Windows: Import from Subscription Management
Sign in to the user panel and open the client download area to get the Windows client. After installation, open it and look in the sidebar or main window for “Subscription,” “Configuration Management,” or “Add Configuration.” Choose import from a link, paste the complete subscription copied from the account overview, then save and update.
After the update, the client should display a list of available regions or routes. If the list is empty, first check that the pasted content is complete, then return to the account overview and copy it again. Do not paste the subscription link into a browser address bar for testing or open it as a normal webpage. Once the route list appears, leave advanced settings unchanged and use the default configuration for the connection step.
macOS: Add a Remote Configuration
Get the macOS client from the user panel and complete the installation. The first launch may ask you to approve network configuration permissions; this is a system step required for the client to establish a connection. Open the client's configuration page and look for “Remote Configuration,” “Subscription Management,” or “Import from URL,” then paste the subscription copied from the account overview.
Save it and run an update once, then confirm that the client shows a route list. Some clients place the connection control in the menu bar while keeping configuration management in the main window, so closing the main window does not necessarily quit the client. For your first use, keep the main window open until you have selected a route and verified the connection, then adjust the launch behavior to suit your workflow.
Android: Add a Subscription in the Configuration Page
Open the client download area in the user panel and get the Android client as directed. In the client, open the configuration or subscription page, choose to add a configuration, and select import by link. Paste the complete subscription into the field, enter a recognizable name, then save and update.
When the system establishes a connection for the first time, it will show a network connection permission prompt. Confirm it so the client can handle network requests on the device. A successful import is indicated by a visible route list, not merely a subscription name. If you see the name but no routes, update that subscription and check whether the current network can load ordinary webpages.
iOS: Get the Client as Directed by the Panel
Follow the instructions shown in the user panel to obtain the iOS client. Open the client download area, follow the prompt to the corresponding App Store page, then return to the account overview and copy the subscription. Open the client and paste the complete address into “Configuration,” “Subscription,” or “Import from Link,” then save it.
On the first connection, the system will ask to add a network configuration; confirm it to continue. After importing the subscription, the client should show a list of regions or routes. If the client offers both QR code and link import, this guide recommends copying the link directly so you can confirm it comes from the currently signed-in account and avoid omissions when reading information from another screen.
CONNECT
Step 5: Connect and verify that it works
Once the client displays routes, choose a region based on your intended use. For content tied to a specific region, prefer a route in the same region as the target service. For everyday browsing, AI Tools, or work, start with a geographically closer route that is currently stable. On the first connection, there is no need to change the protocol, system proxy, or other advanced options at the same time. Keeping the default configuration makes it easier to identify where a problem occurs.
After selecting Connect, check whether the client status changes from disconnected to connected. Windows and macOS clients may show the status in the taskbar or menu bar, while Android and iOS display a system network configuration indicator. A status change only confirms that the client has started the connection. Also open the website or app you actually intend to use and confirm that the page loads, the account works normally, and the regional content matches your expectations.
Do not run multiple clients of the same type at once during verification, as different configurations may overwrite each other. If another client is already connected on the device, disconnect it first, then use the client containing the imported NHVPN subscription. Once the target page opens normally, the initial setup is complete. After that, you generally only need to open the client, choose a route, and connect; there is no need to import the subscription again.
If the current route connects but the experience is unstable, disconnect first and switch to another route in the same region. Choose routes according to the target region and actual use rather than staying on one route permanently. For a deeper explanation of regional restrictions, native IPs, residential IPs, and route selection for Streaming, see The Complete Guide to Getting Started.
CHECKS
Check these areas first when the connection fails
If the subscription cannot be imported, first confirm that the plan is active, then copy the complete link again from the account overview. Common causes include missing characters at the beginning or end, manual edits to the link, or selecting the wrong “Local File” entry in the client. Import through a link, URL, or remote configuration instead.
If the subscription is saved but no routes appear, open subscription management and run an update. If that still produces no results, confirm that the current network can access ordinary webpages, close other clients running repeatedly, and reopen the current client. Do not create multiple subscriptions with the same name; keeping one configuration with a clear source makes update results easier to verify.
If the client shows connected but the target service still does not load normally, disconnect, switch to another route in the same region, and reopen the target page. The browser may retain the previous regional result, so close the original page before visiting it again. If only one specific service is affected while other international websites work normally, the issue is more likely related to the target service's region, account region, or route selection.
If the subscription cannot be found after changing devices, do not export an unknown configuration from the old device. Sign in to the NHVPN account used to place the original order, open the overview, and retrieve the subscription again. NHVPN supports unlimited devices, but each device should use the valid subscription provided by the current account and the client for the corresponding platform obtained from the user panel.
Status after setup
- You can access the same account with your username and password.
- The account overview shows the selected plan and subscription entry.
- The client has imported the subscription and displays a route list.
- The client shows connected, and the target service loads normally.
- When you change devices, you can retrieve the client and subscription again from the user panel.
If you still cannot identify the issue, open the support ticket area in the user panel and submit your system, the message shown by the client, and the checks you have completed. To understand route behavior and regional restrictions, continue with The Complete Guide to Getting Started. To compare usage again, return to the plans page.
